I first heard about Vape Dudes about 6 months ago, when I first started getting really into vaping. I had just purchased a Smoktech Zmax, a Joyetech eGo-C Twist 000mAH, a Joyetech eGo passthrough, and a few different kinds of tanks from MyVaporStore. I also ordered 2 5mL bottles of e-liquid from MVS, but after vaping it for a few days I decided I wanted some higher quality juice.
I went to the coupon page on Steve K’s Vaping World to see if any suppliers offered discounts, and Vape Dudes offered a 40% discount on your first purchase. Ka-ching! Good for past me, but sorry guys they aren’t offering it anymore ;(
As you can see, we gave them a 9.3. The only thing missing from their store is shipping time. I haven’t ordered from them in about a year so they likely improved it. But overall they have great juice and I will buy their Blue Honey flavor until I die. Check out their store:
I headed over there and felt pretty overwhelmed at first; their selection is so big that they have 8 categories to sort them between. The best thing to do when navigating the Vape Dudes website is to “All Vape Dudes eJuice” and just look through their entire catalog. I personally like to sort by “Average Review” to see what other people have enjoyed. Another thing I would recommend is just starting out with an order of purely 10 mL bottles and then order larger bottles the next time if you enjoyed that flavor.
Vape Dudes doesn’t charge a flat rate for all of their flavors, certain flavors cost more than others. 10 mL bottles from their “Naturals” line of flavors run for $6.49 while flavors from any other category are $5.99. The costs are also different for the Naturals line when upgrading bottle size. This is pretty reasonable pricing for gourmet e-liquid, I can’t complain.
The great thing about Vape Dudes is that they not only have a ton of flavors, but they also allow you to customize virtually everything about your juice. They’re able to do this because they hand-mix every bottle of juice after you order it. It’s companies like these that really add to the allure of the bustling cottage vaping industry.
For each flavor you put in your shopping cart, you customize the following aspects:
- Bottle Size (10mL, 30, 50, 100)
- Nicotine Strength (0mg, 6mg, 11mg, 16mg, 24mg)
- Propylene Glycol (PG) to Vegetable Glycerin (VG) Ratio (Ranges from 95% VG/5% PG to 100%PG, 50/50 is recommended)
- Flavor Strength (Just a Hint, Standard, Extra)
Nicotine Strength and Flavor Strength really come down to your personal preference, but PG to VG ratio is pretty important. At this point I have only ordered 50/50 but I’m thinking about switching it up in my next order. I’ll update this post accordingly.
I’ve tried a total of 18 flavors from Vape Dudes and I’m going to sort them into “Loved”, “Okay” and “Thrown Out”, though keep in mind that it really does come down to personal preference. All of these flavors were made with a 50/50 PG-VG ratio, Standard flavoring, and 11 or 16 mg of nicotine.
Blue Honey – It’s between this and Fruit Tsunami for my favorite flavor from Vape Dudes. Blue Honey has a very distinct taste and I went through more than 50 mLs of it within a month. The first time I found a flavor that I could just keep refilling my tank with and not want to try anything else!
Fruit Tsunami – Fruit Tsunami is really quite delicious. It tastes a lot like Sprees and I really loved that. I also went through about 50 mLs of this in a short period of time.
Fuzzy Navel – This flavor was fantastic because it wasn’t overpowering. It almost tasted like it was made with orange peels! A subtle yet tasty flavor.
Raspberry Lemonade – This honestly tastes a lot like Fruit Tsunami, which is for all intents and purposes a good thing.
Black Razz – If you haven’t noticed, I love fruit flavors…particularly raspberry! This flavor really kicks you in the taste buds in a good way. Very happy with it.
Pumpkin Cheesecake – My first puff of this flavor was delicious, but the more I took the worse it got. It’s truly a dessert flavor, something to enjoy occassionally but not mix into your daily vaping routine.
Appletini – I really wanted to like Appletini, but it just had a strange aftertaste and wasn’t powerful enough for me.
Cranberry Frost – I honestly think I only vaped this flavor a few times, and I can’t remember what I thought of it. If I didn’t make a mental note of it or order a bigger bottle, it probably belongs in the “Okay” section.
Cool Melon - I didn’t mind this flavor, I just want a little bit more kick. And also my little brother stole the bottle from me so I didn’t get to do extensive testing.
Cherry Tobacco – The cherry part of this flavor was very good, but the tobacco part just made it taste a little funky.
No-Bake Cake – Just like Pumpkin Cheesecake, this flavor is great in small doses. Really does taste like cake batter!
Strawberry Fields – Definitely a decent flavor, just didn’t quite have the particular flavor to launch it into the “Loved” section. Vaping too much of this felt like eating too many fruit snacks.
Buttery Nipple – This one was just much to sweet. It tastes like extremely strong butterscotch and it was just too much for me.
Java Drizzle – I think I’m just sick of coffee flavors. I haven’t enjoyed coffee flavored juice since I first started vaping. I took one puff of this flavor and didn’t touch it again.
Sweet Tart – This flavor got really great reviews and it seemed like it was right up my alley. I’m not sure if my batch was not made correctly but it had no taste to speak of and made me cough a lot.
Absinthe – There are two types of people in this world: those who like absinthe and those who do not. It’s the black jelly bean of alcohol and e-liquid flavors. I learned that I do not like it!
Apple Pie – This was the first flavor I tried from my first order. It tasted so good at first, I was so excited about trying all the flavors because of how great the first one was. Then my stomach became extremely uneasy and I didn’t feel well the rest of the day. I tried to vape it again a few weeks later and the same thing happened. It may have been because I ordered this one with extra flavor.
I’m about to make another order of flavors I haven’t tried, and I will update this post as I try them!
Customer Service/Shipping Speed
I had to wait about 3 weeks to receive my first order from them, but since then I have gotten my orders anywhere from 3-5 business days after ordering. I’m glad the first processing/shipping fiasco was just an anomaly because I hate waiting for an e-liquid shipment!
Even though they discontinued the 40% coupon code, Steve K still has a very nice 25% discount. Just enter coupon code STEVEK when checking out. This coupon is one time use only so you might want to make your first order a big one!
All in all, Vape Dudes has a massive selection of flavors that will probably be hit and miss when you get started. But such is the dilemna with ordering from any new e-liquid supplier, and you’re bound to find some gems that you’ll be reordering long into the future. I gave them an 8.5 just because of the one extended processing/shipping delay and also because their flavors have been so hit and miss for me so far (though it could just be that I’m a picky vaper!)
